What is your perspective?

On Jan 4th I am doing a message on perspective.  The text will be Isaiah 58 and the outline will be something like

1) God shows us our perspective is self centered

2) God shows us his perspective is full of compassion

3) God perspective changes us

When it comes to perspective in life, what would you say yours is?  How has your prospective changed?

 

Side Note:  Life has been crazy so postings have been few and far between but hopefully new year will serve up some time.

That one sticking point…

Does anyone else struggle with that one sticking point sin.  That one thing that you think you get a handle on and it then comes back with vengence?  Can I just say that it drives me crazy and I want rid of it, but my problem is that nothing seems to have worked to this point.

What have you done or are you doing to rid yourself of that one sticking point sin?

Fast is Broken

Thanks for praying.

In the 3 days I did get a glimpse of some powerful things that God is doing.  I also learned a couple of things.

One thing is that I spend too much time on things that are really a waste of time.  Another is something that I have known but in some ways forgotten and that is how faithful God is at filling us, guiding us, directing us.  We do serve an awesome God.

I am after IT and I want IT so I am going to be seeking God for IT (those from Catalyst know of what I speak).

What is the most important thing you have learned in the past few days?

3 day fast

I am going to be doing an Internet fast for the next 3 days.  I will only be on to check my emails (that is because I need to for work purposes).  During the time I would be reading blogs and surfing the net, I am going to be doing extra praying and reading the Word.  I want to see God do some amazing things in my life so I am concentrating time on Him. 

Any thoughts?  I will read them in a few days. 

Pray that God will work mightily!

Areas to work on….

Back in May I came up with a list of areas in my life that I wanted to work on.  The list has things like delegate more to show people I trust trust them to sending out thank you cards  and telling others that I appreciate them more often to praying more specifically and Bible reading with more intentionality.  Today I revamped and reviewed the list.  As I went through the list, I see that I have a lot of work to do to become the person I want to be but I am happy with the progress that I see.

Do you have some sort of way that you mark progress you are making in life?  Do you have a list of things that you are working on?
