I have been thinking and praying a lot lately, more than normal, I mean a lot. Just to be honest about me, much of the time my prayers are selfish stuff but there are times that I get out of my own way and pray for others things. I have been praying for a personal vision and for a vision for whatever ministry I end up in, but again I spend time thinking and praying for a vision for where are I candidating in a few weeks. I have been studying Nehemiah, Ezra, and now I am into Ezekiel. I think because I have been in these it has really put the vision bug in my head as well as reading some leadership things recently. So I wrestle with vision – a personal one at the this point. Do I have a personal vision?
Do you have one and what is it if you do?
J: I have a personal vision. It is “to lead people to an ever-deepening relationship with Jesus and each other by helping them find their heart.” I too have been going through a re-thinking of my own vision so it may change. Praying dangerous prayers for you & Wendy.

J – “THE” call…most guys who have a mid-life crisis look at new cars or clothes. Me – seminary. Ever since we switched and started attending Stonebriar Community Church, under Chuck Swindoll a few weeks ago, not only have we felt peace that we’re exactly where God wants us, but both my wife and I are getting the vision of my enrolling at Dallas Theological Seminary. I originally thought the 2-yr “professional” degree in a missions focus, but have since reconsidered the big-un – Master of Theology.
Wow.
You’d think that such a radical career change at my age would be scary, but it’s not. Now I’m praying that God will reveal whether I’m to jump in FT this fall or start PT and get several classes under my belt, before I depart my good, secure job for full time student life in pursuit of ministry.
