When I was a kid I loved to play games and I still love to play games.
When I was a kid I loved to play Yahtzee. I remember playing it night after night as a family when I was a kid with my whole family. I also loved to play Othello and used to work hard to try to beat my dad at it.
What about you – did you play games as a kid and if you did what were they?
Battleship and chess.
We didn’t really play board games. We played baseball. This is what we did as a family. At one point my dad built a garage over the batting cage and put hearing and air in it so that we could hit in it year round. It could have been any hour of the day or night and dad or mom would ask, “Wanna hit?” And they would go out and feed the pitching machine.
Bernard – I used to love battleship too and instead of chess we played backgamon.
Michael – that is too cool.

I played baseball and that really was the only time dad did anything with me. he would play games on Christmas morning, teaching how it was to be played and that was it. With friends I played RISK and Stratego. My wife and I used to play a lot of Triple Yahtzee early on in our marriage. I now play Backgammon and Othello. She plays computer games.
I love stratego. I do love computer games. It has been a long time since I played backgamon.
Games outside were anything -baseball, basketball, football – I think I got my love of games and sports from my dad.
