What are the things that break your heart? Stop and take a second and really think about it.
As I watch the news I see things that break my heart…..
I see people who lose loved ones senselessly.
I see kids whose lives change forever because of things that their parent do.
I see poor choices that people make that affect others that have nothing to do with it.
What are some other things that break my heart…
Knowing that people are dying without Christ within walking distance from the church I serve.
Seeing people who know the right things to do but do not do it.
Seeing Christians who do not live like Christ desires.
Knowing people do not pray.
Knowing people will not read their Bible.
What breaks your heart?
That was terrific. All of those things are heart wrenching. About two years ago, I asked God to let my heart break for the things that break His. That was a dangerous prayer because my eyes have been opened to so many more things. May our hearts continue to break.
All of those things you have mentioned have touched me Jim. One of the things that breaks my heart is those who seem to have it all (like a Tiger, etc.) who have no clue what really matters. I see athletes who throw their life away for fleeting things. Michael actually echoed what I have scrolling across my screen saver: Let my heart break with the things that break the heart of God. That is a Bob Pierce quote (founder of World Vision). Great post my friend!
